PALMVALE DROUGHTMASTER CATTLE

Although we’ve only been involved with the Droughtmaster breed since 2012/13, we have a clear vision for the type of animal we aspire to breed — one that thrives in our tough country. We look for sires with strong heads, plenty of bone, length and scale, natural muscling, and excellent doability. They must also have a tropical coat, be higher in Bos indicus content, and possess sound feet and legs, along with well-sized testicles. Above all, temperament is paramount.

Purchased at the Droughtmaster National Sale 2022 (DN) for $38,500 (in partnership with Redskin R Stud), Bellarine Dictator was selected for his excellent natural muscling, growth for age, and breed content. His first sons will be offered at DN2025, and they are shaping up to be our best team of bulls yet.

Oasis A King was purchased at the Droughtmaster National Sale (DN2023) for $18,000 (in partnership with Redskin R Stud). His temperament is completely bombproof, and we were drawn to his length, bone, and softness.

His first progeny are mostly heifers—silky-skinned, soft, and feminine—and they are showing all the signs of becoming exceptional cows.
